“Drive Alliance will provide the most complete web-based Fixed Op solution for all franchised auto dealers. The company will offer a breakthrough application to new car dealers for their "Fixed Operations" divisions. "Fixed operations" refers to the collective service and parts operations of any new car dealer. For this discussion we shall refer to it as "dealer-based service centers". The web-based application is called YouDrive. It is designed to optimize the effectiveness and returns on a complete service sales cycle. In the process it effectively tracks personnel performances, all the unsold or deferred customer opportunities and moreover provides a real-time communication channel with current and prospective service customers.

Drive Alliance, a Texas limited liability company is about eight months old. It is located in Dallas, Texas. When the company commenced operations the principal provided consulting services in the research and conceptualizing of the application. Prior to that, the principal worked in the service department of a local new car dealership for year and half. This time was spent in researching and understanding the intricate processes of Fixed Operations. A bottom to top analysis was carried out to identify weak sales process links between sub-departments as well as operational restrains due to limited technology use. An extensive analysis was also carried out to understand the enormity of lost service sales. As a result of this experience, the principal undertook further extensive research on Sales Process Management (SPM) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) products. Detailed research was also undertaken in back end technology products currently used by new car dealers. Subsequently customer requirements in this area were identified. From this research it was determined that there existed a need for a web-based application platform that would provide SPM, CRM, and existing dealer data integration functionalities in one easy to use comprehensive package.”  Joe Tareen
